Hello, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Thank you for your responses.
I will go and have a scratch and sniff tomorrow. It is at the school garden. What am I expecting to smell ?
Verbascum sounds about right, as we have that in other parts of the school. I might move it to the wildlife garden area.
Feverfew might be an option, as it is opposite where the wildflower garden was last year, I'm trying to think if looking at the picture, it looks familiar. Will get back to you all x
It's hard to describe a smell Peanuts but anything very pungent when you do the scratch and sniff will give a clue. Also a photo from a different angle might help
okay, it was snowing at drop off this morning but i had a quick dash round the garden. It is everywhere in the sensory garden and upon scratching and smelling it, it does have quite a strong smell. I'm really thinking it is feverfew as it is in all the little beds, and although I searched for an hour to find photo's of that garden from last year, i'm sure I remember there being a plant like feverfew in there.
I guess I can move it into my white or yellow section of the rainbow and move the rest to the wildlife garden. Thank you for your help. x

The grey one looks like my stachys 'Big Ears' Very large furry leaves, silky to the touch. Cow parsley is the green one I think.
