A friend wanted to buy a special present for his wife's important birthday.
He decided to have a Rose named after her.
She was really pleased and flattered until she saw in the catalogue that it was described as no good in a bed, but great against a wall.

The original rose of which this was said was called 'Lady Hillingdon', because the climber proved more vigourous than the bush version. That rose was bred in 1910, so it's rather an old joke you have served up there!
