    Hello , wondered what tyou of fencing you have ? 

    Is it bamboo fixed to something ?

    It might be worth visiting a few gardens , even stately homes , just to get some idea of what you like , much better seeing it for real

    Have you got a seating area ?

    What ever you do enjoy your garden image

    Its natural bark screening. Its attached to my fence using cable ties.

    Welcome Nigel its lovely to have a garden you can start from scratch.

    Lots of good advise above, I would just add that if it was mine I would put all those stones and statues in one place, like a little rockery, probably in that far corner.

    You could sow some sweet peas for this year to brighten the trellis

    I meant to mention that you could grow some climbers, like clematis, or a rose, up the fence.
