Fox Glove

  • On advice given by the forum I planted young foxgloves grown from seed out into the garden in the autumn I was afraid that they would disappear but am very glad to report that they are all looking really well so thankyou for that. The seedlings that grew naturally where they dropped the previous year did disappear over the winter months which is why I decided to grow them on in pots before planting out but my query had been when was the best time to do this I had thought that I had left it too late.....but all's well !

I must admit I started mine in a propagator last May. I ended up with over 60 young plants and ended up having to give some away cos I ran out of space in the garden. I just love foxgloves, beautiful and tough image

I quite agree. Lovely plants especially when they are grouped together. Ive got tonnes snuggled up in a cold frame waiting for spring before I pop them in the ground.
