..about 20 roses that I've never grown before.... some will stay, some may not...we shall see...
...a few perennials, like a new Rudbeckia subtomentosa 'Henry Eilers'... I wanted this, as it's a natural hybrid found growing along an old Iowan railroad amongst prairie remnant, of which little remains....
It's imperative some of them do well too as they are this summer's container stars...think I might have to grow some trusty fallbacks just in case. Last year I ended up digging up self seeded lobelias to fill gaps here and there thanks to the great diascia disaster.
did you manage to grow lobelia disaster for me could not grow them diascia havent had a look at them . i am sure that your summer containers will look fab
I'm not so sure Will - they were a disgrace last year
I've grown lobelias once but I need over a hundred for my unimaginative planting scheme so I just buy them now as its easier. Some of them even self seeded in the gunge between the block paving last year - they got scraped out and put in a flower pouch
lobelia are only for the commercial growers i have tried and failed at least some of youres found there way into a flower pouch mine found there way into my bin
