I haven't seen a hedge hog for years. I leave lots of places for them & use to leave food but that was taken by rats so had to stop. I would be over the moon to get one here !
All these poorly cats, how awful, I lost mine about a month ago. He was 20 & Fit & healthy until the last few mins where I had to rush him too the vets. I still cry for him. Silly me.
My cat is not a pet. He's a much loved family member, he's 13 and rules my life. I would be lost without him. I can only imagine what your both going through. X
Ive had to send two baby hedgehogs off to our local rescue people, they are on facebook if you want to contact them for any advice, but it sounds as though your hog is happy enough
Sorry to hear about your cat, you wont bore most of us on here with talk of your animals! Best wishes
Poor Katie was put to sleep yesterday. I miss her so much, my heart literally aches for her. She was so very special, whenever I went to the loo she'd sit and wait outside for me. She followed me around the house, when I walked up the stairs she'd run up past me and quickly lie down on the top hall so that I'd stroke her. So many things I'll miss.
Lancashire lass hugs, I'm sorry to hear that you have lost your dear Katie it is so hard to have a pet put to sleep but take some comfort from knowing that you were brave and did the best thing for her.
Thank you everyone and Angie I'm sorry to learn of your loss as well.
Hoggy is still hibernating. He's been out of it for a fortnight now. He's such a lucky boy having a greenhouse to curl up in with this freezing weather!
I haven't posted for awhile but wanted to tell everyone that my hedgehog is still hibernating.
I found his overwintering hole the other day. Very gratifying actually because there is an obvious hedgehog sized hole burrowed into all the leaves and logs that I had purposefully laid beside my shed and under sheltering trees. I call it my wild part of the garden, kept untidy specifically for wildlife. So now I have somewhere to place him when he is returned to the wild.

Lancashire Lass, I know where your coming from, there is a huge hole now but the hole does get smaller, never filled, just smaller. Take care.
So sorry to hear about Katie - KEF put it into better words than I could...
Thinking of you...
