VERY INTERESTING AND UNAWARE ALL THE PLANTS HELPED FEED THE BIRDS

    lecesteria and rosa rugosa rubra are good as well. Robins love the former = yes they fly up to get the berries = and the blackbirds have practically stripped all the berries already!

    Apart from sunflower, I never seen any of these wildlife friendly species on sale. Where would you find them to buy?

    All the varieties mentioned in the feature above are available as seeds or plants in most garden centres - the one near us also has a section of 'wild native plants' where you can buy many plants that are good for bees and other pollinating insects.
