Hoping the snowdrops I put in will show soon, went for dry bulbs so I guess 50/50 if they will show at all. Something though has been digging up some of my bulbs, I keep finding them in little stores on the compost heap!
Snowdrops in sheltered areas near the hedge very much up, while spikes but not dropped over yet - soon though. Other areas, the grey spikes of leaves show, some not at all yet - but they will. They have been spread wonderfully by the birds over the years, lovely patch below a road sign just outside our drive where the birds sit and digest their meals!
So is it mice that are digging up and eating my crocuses? And here I am blaming those bally squirrels! New Year's Resolution (one of them!) is to cover all pots of crocuses with small mesh netting so I can enjoy the flowers instead of sadly picking up broken bits and pieces of unopened buds.

I find bulbs on the compost heap Gemma. It's usually me that put them there

That's all too easy to do
True Gemma, I can see the leaves of sternbergia emerging from the heap and some narcissi. Haven't seen any snowdrops yet, any day now maybe
