Crop rotation

I seem to have got myself in a bit of a pickle regarding crop rotation and have got a few Qs for you good folk! Firstly, where do onions/garlic fit into the plan? I watched Monty's advice but the alliums weren't mentioned; I've been told by one person group them with legumes, another said with root veg. Also, we only have 2 raised beds - is it ok to plant 2 diff groups in 2 halves of the same bed (guessing not, but thought I'd check image)? Also, if I have added leaf mould at the end of last year, would that make the soil too rich for root crops?

Don't see why you can't plant two different groups in one bed just mark a line were the divide is.

I'm happy to be wrong but you can plant alliums in either group but once you start either a 3yr or 4yr plan you need to follow them on with the next group in that rotation plan.

There's a good explanation on the RHS website which on their 3yr plan puts legumes, alliums and roots in the same group and on the 4 year plan alliums are with roots and legumes have their own group.

    Hope that helps...

Thanks for the advice, that does help to clear a few things up!
