I bought mine, it cost a fortune and is amazingly, well, shall we say 'compact' for the price.

Best stick with Edd and build one if you are going to get serious about it. image

I'm only using my bought one now as overwintering quarters as it fits in my boiler room, come the spring going to build a much better one.

I noticed a big increase in the cast production very soon after adding the powdered egg shell. Got the next batch of shells from over Christmas and New Year to crush up and add tomorrow. image

    1st post on this forum

If you are going to buy one don't get the ones from bestecoshop . I wanted one for my birthday in the summer and my better half bought that one - far too small image

I have a black bin with 4 small holes in the bottom and shredded paper , some compost from the local GC , kitchen vegetable scraps , some egg shells

If this is all I need then I will get some worms locally

    Please confirm

Does it go in my conservatory or must it go outside and if so does it need a rat proof top,

? How big should the holes be

I will drill more holes and I now have a wooden  lid  and a couple of bricks to secure it and will place it outside and add the worms in about a weeks time

I will add some shredded cardboard from tea cartons etc

Just got rid of the rat and had to move my shed onto concrete patio
