I was down that way today newboy, we went for a cooked breakfast but both the cafes that we go to were closed both by t'prison
Marion I'm sure we can arrange ourselves a little meet up in time, I would love to see your garden in all its magnificent glory
i spent this morning trawling around two garden centres. Cost me a mini fortune but as I've been ill all week, I've not spent any money really so as far as I'm concerned, it all balances out
Aha, Fruitcake, to go to a garden centre for me would mean a friend using petrol so that is out for this year! Guess who is going to save money this year? Sorry to hear you have been ill. was it that rotten chesty 'flu bug?
I think so, i felt worse than I normally do with a cold but not quite as rotten as I have done with flu. I spent 3 days this week on the sofa. Such a criminal waste of a week off work, so much I wanted to do but was unable to
My "green" efforts today are eating home grown pickled beetroot with my dinner and buying pickling onion seeds- this years onions will have as close to zero food miles as I can get
I am sure you are not gormless. frumpy1 - just overworked! It is only 5degrees maximum forecast for Bristol today so I shall stay indoors and garden in the conservatory and read up the instructions on all the gardening kits I had for Xmas. I may take some pics in the conservatory as it is looking so cheerful with lots of flowers. The forecast for the next four days is much milder again so more pruning on the cards then.
Morning Marion, it's blue skies and frosty here in the NW, but it's meant to go back up to 8c tomorrow, off to my mums in a minute , she's got som pork and leek sausages off the market yesterday mmmm can't wait
You will soon be growing your own leeks. I love home made leek and potato soup. As promised pictures from my conservatory. I can pretend it is summer in there tidying up. My red jasmine, Cersium newellii is in full flower again, It flowers for eight weeks or so outsid
e in the summer and then again in the winter indoors.
My moth orchid I had for Xmas is loving it in my kitchen. There is so much blossom on my cersium I can see me picking some for a vase soon. They last a long time in water.
