Started to regrow an amaryllis which I have had for three years which has flowered before. This time all that has grown are three leaves, no flower. What could be the reason for this? Thanks
Depends how you treated it before it died down. After flowering it should be placed in a sunny spot and fed and watered throughout the summer, leaves cut down in October and the plant kept cool and dry for about 10-12 weeks. Lack of food and lack of a sufficient cold spell will both affect flowering.
Just about to plant Amaryllis bulbs and have realised they take 7-10weeks to flower. Is there a technique I could use to bring them on a bit so that they may be out nearer to Christmas?

Not really-they will be in a warm room -there is not much more you can do.
