  • @jamesholt Brown Turkey is the only fig which will reliably crop when growing outside in the UK, so that variety is what most folk grow here.  I'm growing 'Panache' (aka Tiger stripe fig) but in a greenhouse (it's containerised so goes outside for the summer.)  I'm sure it would do fine in Texas.  Mine is only young but did produce fruit last year which unfortunately didn't quite ripen because I left it outside for a little too long.
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    I followed Monty’s advice on taking cutting from fig tree. Looks like it was successful. Any idea when to repot it?
