Has Anybody Got This Rose?

Hello!
I hope you are all enjoying your Christmas! I was lucky enough to be given a little spending money and I have decided to treat myself to another David Austin Rose.
I wanted something that was white and would be happy in a pot.
I have come across this one and was wondering if any of you lovely people already had it and if so, is it as good as it sounds? lol
Thanks in advance image

I did think of getting it at one time, but went for this one instead as I wanted something less thorny....

I hope yours does well for you... if anyone has 'The Mayflower' they might be able to help as well, as it's a sport from that one...

  • That Rose is lovely Salino image

I have a Rose which has a similar colouring to it called Champagne Moment, which is why I was looking for something that has more of an even white colouring.
I can handle the thorns if it's well behaved lol

Thanks for getting back to me image

I bought Jacqueline Du Pré last year and have been very pleased - http://www.davidaustin.com/englishgardenhome/ShowRose.asp?ProductId=1052

It is simple and elegant and the open flower attracts beneficial insects so triple pleasure as it has a pleasing perfume too.   The buds are palest pink but the flower opens white.

  • Oooh now that one does look lovely and I do like the fact it's a Rose that is beneficial to insects.
Do you think it would be okay growing in a pot?

  • Oh yes I have a spare large pot, I have a few already in containers.
I live in a rented house which doesn't have much of a garden so pot's are a bit of a saviour lol image

Mine did sulk a bit when first planted out but she's fine now.  Just hope winter doesn't throw too much at her.

Susan Williams Ellis is on my list.  I already have the mayflower which is from the same sport and its a lovely rose, fairly compact and as good as the brochure says it is.

  • Another good white which we grow from David Austin is Winchester Cathedral, this performs well
