Apple scab

I'm new to gardening and last year planted several fruit trees. The apple tree seems to have apple scab (brown marks on leaves) the apples are knobbly in texture. Are the apples still OK to eat or use in chutney?

Are apple scab diseased apples OK to eat?
They will not store, but peeled and if the flesh is unmarked then they are edible. When we use these for juice we do not even peel the scab off.
Our apple tree is not looking too good the apples are plenty but all black how do we treat it for apple scab
Much the same as our Greensleeves apples. They still taste good though when peeled. Sadly our Rev. Wilkes ones were so bad that they have rotted away in store before we could use them.
If you can find a source for it Copper sulphate is about the only thing left to use. Wine making places are still allowed to sell it.
Also collect up and destroy any fallen fruit and leaves to reduce the over wintering spores for next year.
