Anyone know what this is.Found it in a friends garden and thought it was Sedum kimnachii (Mexican sedum) which is in a lot of gardens round here (Isle of Wight). When I took a piece off and had a closer look I can see it is quite different, paler green pointed leaves with a red edge rather than bright green rounded leaves.Could it be an Echeveria of some sort.It is outside in all weathers so seems to be hardy.

So over to all you experts!!

    So Echeveria then?

    Thought it might be!

I don't suppose anyone would know the variety or is that asking a bit too much image

Have googled both those and Golden Glow seems a possibility but the leaves in the photos of both those varieties seem a bit more 'fleshy' and plump than my plant, although that may be to do with the time of year.

I shall pot the cutting up and see what happens flower wise.It actually looks like it may be about to flower soon.

Shall let you know what happens!

I think I know what it is now!

    Sedum palmeri

It is in flower at the moment (bright yellow) which is right and can be hardy in the UK down to -10c so shall plant it outside later on.
