Naughty cats!
in Talkback
I'm fed up with the neighbours cat using my beloved garden as its toilet and killing the birds that try to visit the bird table. Its putting me off going out there. Can anyone recommend a deterrent?

One thing I found with the scarecrow is it is best to use metal fittings on the hoses rather than the plastic hozelock type ones. Because they need hose pressure constantly to work, the plastic fittings can 'pop off', this invariably happens at night or when you are out, so you then find the garden flooded. Since I changed to metal fittings no problems with them at all, Draper seem like the best fit and have been totally reliable.
There have been various threads about cats, here is one, don't know if something mentioned in it might help. http://www.gardenersworld.com/forum/problem-solving/cats-in-the-graden/243010.html
At the very top of this page there is a box saying "search this site" with a magnifying glass. Click on that. New page with search facility pops up.
