help!
This morning my 81 year old hubby cleared 5 mounds of cat pooh from our front lawn.
it has been an ongoing problem for some time now. We have tried everything we can think of .Ultra sonic machines, garlic, pepper, jeyes fluid etc etc etc. and even covered the lawn with strong mesh/chicken wire to stop the lawn being dug and scratched but the pooh is just left on the top!
The cat reponsible is a large ginger tom.Neighbours with cats see the mess and couldn't care less. Short of bullets can anyone suggest anything to put a stop to it all.
It has got us down so much I had even considered moving.

There are many threads on here regarding cats - unfortunately they tend to give rise to strong feelings.
The general consensus appears to be that the only thing that works reliably is a Water Scarecrow

Cat victim here too Carlyann - I have two scarecrow water deterrents as in Dove's link. I find they do work, they can't stop cats entering your garden entirely but can protect important areas.
very many thanks for these will look it up
That kind of thing is definitely your best bet. I didn't know about those and can now mention them to clients who ask. Ta.
You just have to make sure you don't catch the postie with it!

We were in Iceland, trying to whalewatch. Sadly only lots of dolphins this time!
You should've been here in East Anglia - we've had humpbacks swimming up and down the coast for the past couple of years
