Companion plants and their opposite

I know a little bit about companion planting but I have heard there are some plants that dont like being close to each other. Does anyone know where to find good info about this?

thanks.

  • Hi Lol image  - Some plants give off chemicals that prevent some other plants from growing nearby - black walnut is a well known example.  This is called allelopathy - there is some information here http://www.gardeningknowhow.com/garden-how-to/info/allelopathic-plants.htm but there are more plants involved than those mentioned on that site.
