I am helping a friend who has recently purchased a new home. There is a Hotlips plant that needs to be moved, it is currently in flower, so when would be the best time to move it?

my hotlips is flowering too at the moment. Mine is in a pot, so I just cut it back and move it to my cold frame. If yours is in the ground I would cut it back and pot it up and put somewhere out the cold. They are quite tender salvias.
