My garden looks like it's been burgled!

I only get to see my garden in daylight at weekends at the moment. On Monday night we put all the tenders in the greenhouses.

It's magical here this morning. This photo doesn't do it justice but it's white-over here - defo appeals to my love of anything twinkley!

  • I know what you mean Fruitcake- I only see my garden at the weekend, apart from blurrily by torch light when I put the bird food out on a morning.

I took a cup of tea out this morning to de-ice the bird bath and I see everything has collapsed with the frost now...not much sprouting apart from some alliums either...

I left out the tender stuff as I don't like to 'pansy' things and they were all shrivelled and frozen in their potsimage- i've put them in nowimage

    Nice pic Tootlesimage

I still have Salvia Amistad and Wendy's wish in flower. But when I was weeding and planting tulips yesterday I found daffodil shoots. Haven't had a frost yet in Dordogne, most unusual.

    Fantastic frosty pics.

I am so lucky to be able to pop out to the garden when ever I want.

When you all get old you will be able to that.

    Everything comes with a price!

    Lovely pix image

We get fewer frosts and lots of manky damp stuff so lots of bright foliage and evergreens are necessary here. My garden is now looking like the burglars brought  back the plants that they nicked...image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

No hard frosts here in Cornwall yet.  However, I did have to cut the dahlia back at the weekend as it had collapsed.  I too only see my garden at weekends in daylight.

Other weekend jobs were to put the tender plants in the potting shed, cover the wooden bench and put other slightly less hardy pots against the house.
