Mine needs a haircut too but it's positively squelchy underfoot
I do leave mine longer in the winter Fishy but it's probably 3 weeks since I last cut it & it looks quite untidy - especially as the last of the copper beech leaves seem to have come down in the last week. Might try to get out there with the mower if we have a dry 2- 3 days - otherwise it will be lawn rake & edging shears just to make it look a bit better
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
I would love to cut mine, but my lawn is littered with crocus and daffs and i dont want to chop their heads off. i checked a few days and some have already lifted their heads
I cant Gran! Wish I could, I would dearly love less grass and more flower beds. Ours also needs cutting again, especially the bit outside on the road verge, it has crocus and snowdrops planted and if the grass is long you cant see them. Also it makes the whole property look untidy.
Usualy late November is the last cut here, its too wet now.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
Mine has grown quite a bit since it's last cut in late Oct/early November but the ground's too wet for cutting. I didn't want to cut it too short either but I'm almost wishing I had
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I was very naughty.... it was a nice day today so I cut my grass even though it was way too wet & there is a frost forecast for tonight. Breaking all the rules - but the whole garden looks soooo much better. I'll consider myself b*ll*cked!!

We cut ours about 2 weeks ago, it was quite wet but they recovered really well and look fine now. Don't think the grass has grown much. If we get a reasonable day I'll just go out and trim the edges as I think that makes a massive difference.
