Daffs & Tulips Showing

Hi All, my first post here, so fingers crossed. In October I planted approx 200 daffodils and tulips, then covered my borders with mulch for the winter. Today, 1st Dec I see dozens of healthy thick fresh new shoots coming through already!!...its my first attempt at a garden, and I wasnt expecting anything to surface till next spring..I'm puzzled as to why they are growing already ???

mild weather, don't worry Andy. When it turns cold, they'll just stop where they are and wait a bit longer. They won't be killed off.
Hi Hostafan...so they will just stop in their tracks?...lol...
Hi andy - yes, they'll stay as they are and sit and wait until spring - no need to worry about them

Many thanks Dove...I was beginning to worry I might have fully grown daffs and tulips before christmas...lol
so glad you posted this Andy, I came on here to ask the exact same question, I planted two pots with layers of daffs, tulips & crocus' & they've started to show through already ~ need not worry now! x
Hope you have a lovely display when they do flower. One of the things I love about gardening is that there is always something around the corner. Even trees that have shed their leaves have little bids on them now - well they do on mine anyway!
I posted the exact same thing on Sunday after a day in the garden, I thought i lived in a micro climate all of my own!
