Don't you worry Verdun. I was talking to Santa at the weekend down his allotment. I had to have a word, as he keeps borrowing my tubs to collect his courgettes. Apparently it's all Rudolph will eat in the run up to the big night. Anyhow, I've asked him to send a sign to the 7-8 year old generation. He said he'd have a word with a couple of his mini elves. They're gonna make an appearance tomorrow.
I remember when my son figured it out. Santa had stupidly used the same wrapping paper on one of his presents that I had used for one of mine. This to my son confirmed the rumours that had been going around at school . (I must have started on the Baileys early that year). Fortunately now he is 17 he keeps up the tradition. I told him when he was little that Santa was real as long as he wanted him to be. He let me know the other day that it was still Santa that puts the pressies in Christmas stockings.
Sadly I've been too naughty to get any pressies for years now,. Though I might get some gardening books I've been dropping very broad hints about and the 'Out of Town' DVD box set, if I'm really good until Christmas.

I believe in Santa.
But does he believe in me?
I hope he hasn't forgotten any of us.
