Overgrown climbing rose

    My climbing rose has shot out new green branches. Think l left it too late to train them horizontally, as they will snap in doing so they are around 2-3ft long. Do l cut them back?

    No, they shouldn't be too long at only 2-3 ft ... watch this video .... the branches don't have to be horizontal from the bottom, ease them gently towards the horizontal ... 45 degrees is ok ...

    thank you so much. l'm growing up a an arch type structure but will apply the same advice. Video very helpfull.
