Fuchsia identification

I have inherited several fuchsias and would like to know their names and to know if they are hardy or not. I want to keep them through the winter if possible. The one above does not show the true colour. It is in fact a cream tube, pale salmon sepals and a deep ruby red petals. The buds are spherical not long.

The top one shows the colour correctly, with the cerise tube being as long as the purple petals.

I've looked on a few websites and can't find a photo to match them, but  thought someone on here may be a fuchsia expert.

..there are millions of Fuchsia's and I'm no expert and I think you would have to be one to figure that out...however, sometimes we can narrow things down because some are readily available and popular....

I wouldn't dare guess at the bottom one, but the top does look like 'Display' to me...which is sold everywhere these days...  have a look at some images of that one and see what you think...

  • As the flowers in the pics are 2" long, they are almost certainly semi-hardy types as are nearly all large-flowered fuchsias.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • Many thanks . I'll protect them and try to identify at garden centre next year.

    Could be Aubergine or Cardinal.

Top one may be Display, 2nd one Paula Jane, she always wears her skirts shorter! is the colour more  like this?

  • Lyn it's very like that photo except the buds are spherical, not like the teardrop ones I see on yours.

    Many thanks everyone
