Some of my allotment cabbages have started to sprout another cabbage from inside the host cabbage, looks like a scene from Alien movie. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Any pictures?
Sometimes a second head will appear on some heads if they are ready for harvesting. Wheelers imperial is an example I've grown that does this. Nothing wrong with it.
