Sternbergia Autumn. daffodils
in Plants
Hello all
Wondering what I'm doing or have done wrong....
Planted a terracotta pot of these many weeks ago, they've been on a warm, protected and sunny windowsill ever since. All the leaves are out, looking good, but not a flower bud in sight....
They get a little rainwater, but not much and I don't water them additionally.
Drainage is good. Compost not too rich.
Where are the flowers!?!

Patience Jess, patience........
Look for the one called angustifolia. Some friends have this and it flowers more freely than mine. I had one flower this year but I have let it get overgrown

Had this for nearly 20 years now and never seen a flower on it/ Friends have a clump in their garden which flowers once in a blue moon. Not the easiest of bulbs to get to flower.
Thanks everyone - at least I know I'm not doing anything wrong! Mine have a lovely mass of fresh, green leaves and not a flower in sight
I've got great leaves Jess, some are growing on the compost heap
