Compost Bin
I'm not complaining (unlike my last post, sorry about that), but my compost bin is full of worms. When I lift the lid they are literally falling off it in clumps! I presume this is normal and good? I just don't remember there being so many this time last year. All that goes in there is veg peelings, newspaper and egg shells.
Has anyone else noticed an abundance of worms in their compost bin this year? Perhaps the hot summer and warm autumn has helped?
I can take a piccy tomorrow and attach it if anyone wants?

Winnie if the worms are collecting on your bin lid the compost needs drying a little untill they stop collecting there they dont happily collect on the lid look on utube its been shown many times, nothing too serious but needs looking at ,,some dry cardboard perhaps to help dry it a touch , im only passing this info on as iv recently had this happen to me and many of my alottmenteer friends all solved by dring a touch, cheers.good luck.
Thanks for the advice Alan, I'll try some cardboard.
Edd - yes that's the little wrigglers. The "compost" doesn't look as good as that yet but I'm obviously doing something right. I'd never have thought that worms could be so exciting!
