Just testing
When I switched on my ipad today I had been logged out of the website for some reason. Then I noticed that in the box for writing messages there were icons at the top for inserting smilies, pictures, fonts and stuff which were not there when I was logged in. I wrote this message when I was not logged on and used smilies, bold and italic, bullet points etc and they all worked but I couldn't post it. I copied the whole message, logged on then pasted it in the new message box and sure enough all the icons have gone and the formatting has also disappeared! What's going on?

Every so often I find that I'm logged out - not only from this site but also from other sites I'm usually logged into. I think that's something to do with my security software. It just happens every now and then and I just log back in again.
If you haven't got smilies etc have a look in your Settings (under your name in the top right corner when you're logged in). You need to have Advanced Edit enabled in order for the smilies and other edit functions to be available.
There is a blip on the forum at the moment re Avatars - this is being looked at by the technical team.
