Red Robin Tree

Hello

We purchased a 7ft Red Robin Tree and planted it on 15 August this year, the problem is we hadn't yet watched the episode of Gardeners World when Monty tells you how to plant a tree. So we have planted it with compost instead of the soil that is already there we are worried now that the roots won't grow properly shall we dig up the tree and re plant or just leave it, othre than that the tree is planted correctly with stakes.
