Astible leaf browning

Hello can anyone help me with my dwarf Astilbe. I planted them 3 weeks ago but over the last week and a half the leaves have turned brown on all of them with some falling off. They are in pots and baskets. I have watered them well and they are in a position for the sun to shine down on them. I can't understand what is causing the leaf browning. Any help is much appreciated. Thankyou.

Astilbes like semi-shade and damp roots, although they can cope with more sun if they're somewhere wet like a bog garden.

In my experience they're not really suitable for pots and baskets.  Also astilbes die down over the winter and re-emerge in the late spring.

I'd agree with Dove - they're not brilliant in pots except short term so if you keep them in a pot try to get them in a bit of shade next year and make sure they don't dry out image
