Garlic bulblets

in Fruit & veg
Just found one of my lost garlics tonight and saw that it had formed small little cloves in the flower. Can they be planted or will it take too long for them to become a fully grown bulb? They are the size of milk teeth.

Not sure I undertsand exactly what you are asking Swedboy but replying so that it pops back to the top and maybe someone can advise!
Have never seen that before but you could always plant them and see what comes up. November is the time for planting garlic and onions. My husband is a chilli lover and cant go a day without eating them. The greenhouse is full of them and hoping i can save some over the winter. He has tried and tried to get me to eat them but i really dont like them i just grow them.
hello swedboy, the bulbils are a great way to increase your stock if you're patient - they take 2-3 years to grow into regular sized bulbs but well worth the effort. if you search growing garlic bulbils you'll find endless hours of interesting reading material. here are just a couple
