Indoor treated bulbs.

Can anyone direct me to where I can purchase treated hyacinth bulbs and bulb fibre?

I have tried in a few places, homebase etc. but unable to find.

I bought both at a Garden centre this week - it was a Wyevale one, but i'm sure others will have them too. Look for the displays of containers etc - they like to try and sell you bulbs, compost and a pot for them all in one go !
  • The term you're looking for is 'Prepared' hyacinth bulbs - as Chicky says, garden centres will have them.  But if you're not near a GC put Prepared hyacinth bulbs into google and you'll find them available from lots of sellers online, including Amazon.

It may be a 'sold out' situation as it's getting a bit late for Christmas flowering now, but they should still be around.

Don't forget little bulbs like Muscari and Iris as they are excellent too. Cheap to buy now but very expensive when they flower.

Has anyone used white vinegar to spray on weeds in crevices? I read this recently and found some old white wine vinegar in my store. Will this work as well? Thanks.

It might, but I'd rather use it to make a salad dressing. image

In fashion atm. Much circulated on social media. Used by those who don't know (or don't care) about micro-organisms in the soil

Spray your white vinigar on a worm and see what happens?
