moving snapdragons

I have some perennial snapdragons in a border I want to change. Can I move them now to a new location?

Snapdragons are half hardy annuals, if the frost doesn't get them this winter, then it's best to treat them as annuals. Move them if you want anytime now to a sheltered position, but with a colder than average winter forecast, then you may lose them all.

I find they don't live very long anyway. I buy cheap mail order plug plants to save time.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • ok thanks. I'll just leave them.

  • If you've let them go to seed then leave them and transplant the new seedlings in spring, if the parent survives cut that back in spring too and hopefully you'll have a lovely display. ????

  • Hi verdun, these ones are just now losing their flowers and are still lush green.

So I think I will move them. There are one or two dotted all over, so I think I will group them altogether.
