help - bignonia - campsis radicans
in Plants
Can anybody give advice on the best time to sow seeds of this stunning plant?
and how?
I know I've posted this elsewhere but hope that somebody somewhere knows something. Google seems to only throw up American sites which doesn't really help me.

Not first hand info, sorry.
In the sticks near Peterborough
thanks nut - that's not a company I've ever heard of and it didn't come up in my search. I'll have a good browse later, but the info seems helpful.
I grew the yellow trumpet vine about 30 years ago and was sorry I did.The roots started to lift my sidewalk and the top growth was covering my other plants, the weight started my fence to fall over. That's when I decided to get ride of it,it took 7 years to finally kill it off.
Oh Bill - sounds like the troubles I have had with passionflower! It's a bit like the poppy seed, it keep coming up everywhere and has grown a mile-a-minute before you notice it is there.
I want to grow my bignonia in a very exposed position at the top of my vertical garden (built onto the rocky side of the valley in the Languedoc). For every five plants I plant I consider myself lucky if just one survives, so I've learned over the years that it is better to grow them myself from seed or cuttings. Garden Centre plants rarely survive.
It's an enjoyable challenge.
