how to save elder and birds whilst getting rid of ivy

  • Well, the tree surgeon has been.  It is an elder and it is dead. image

  • Oh well, that's one decision that's been made for you  image.  However, elder grows so quickly if you want another one you won't have too long to wait before you have a substantial tree.  But if you want to attract the birds there are lots choices, elder, holly, crab apple to name just a few.

  • I understand from this forum that there are elder trees and elder bushes?  (Sorry - newb!)  Maybe I could replace with an elder bush.
