  • Well, we could do with some good cold snaps to kill off the aphids and other nasties that happily carried on breeding right through last winter.  I shall be sad if I lose plants, but a few sharp frosts are good for us.

    If I remember correctly those that are supposed to know forecast a cold winter last year. And wasn't there something about a barbecue summer a couple of year's back. It was a wash-out.

    That was the Daily Express a forecaster with with a 0% accuracy rating!
