Some friends who don't have a garden, but are gourmets advised me to grow Gariguettes Strawberrys. Has anyone tried growing them? They are much loved by chefs

I grow them. Good flavour, early, prolific, but once they are over that is it for that year. So I grow repeat varieties too.
They sound delightful I don't grow them but would be interested to know where you can purchase seeds.
You can get plants from Fothergills at this time of the year, but I'm not sure that I'll bother having read the advice above. Do Royal Sovereign have a longer season?
