How can I protect strawberries rom snails/slugs. I replanted them into window boxes on the terrace, but they still arrive in their dozens!!

Try a few organic slug pellets

Try copper tape, and a drench of nematodes in spring.

    Hi Jill,

I tuck large fir cones around mine .... it seems to make it much more difficult for any slugs to move around. It also keeps the fruit off the soil in the summer.

i use  a deterrent spray, its especially good under the rim of pots, i swear by this stuff, i even spray it directly on crops, its called SAS spray, can be a bit difficult to get, but one  can usuallly lasts me a season, dont be put off by the label, as its made to deter them getting indoors, it dosent kill them and i think its made from yucca so is organic... i think image, but please read the info yourself image
