Small container tree

For my 1.8x.47x.47 planter I would like a small slow growing tree. I plan to keep it in its original container within the trough. Suggestions please.

  • A Japanese Acer palmatum dissectum should fit the bill.

  • Chicky image  Lovely trees.  I have to keep them in containers due to the Honey fungus in my garden - have lost several after planting out. image

  • Thanks for the suggestion.I did wonder about a standard rose too. Luckily I live fairly close to David Austin Roses.
