Just joined (hello) and I have a cunning plan for my garden. I have a concrete wall about six feet tall and hope to partially conceal it. My thought is to plant a couple of apple trees and train them along the wall. Any thoughts on the idea and suggestions on species to plant.

Lots of useful advice on fruit trees on the websites of Ashridge trees, orange pippin trees and Pomona. You need to choose complementary varieties to get the pollination right, and these sites have fairly simple guides (to a pretty complicated subject
