If you have a cold frame, you may just be able to get away with semi hardwood cuttings. They should take if the weather doesn't get too cold too soon. Convolvulus are usually pruned after flowering in spring so it's really too late now. They are quite like cistus, and don't like being cut back into old wood. I'd take the cuttings and wait till after flowering in spring before pruning it.
