Enlarging a pond

  • Well we have started and have emptied the old pond and wow it is so interesting! Have seen lots of tadpoles and damsel fly larvae and what appears to be a hairy caterpiller.

we will line the pond today and put the contents back in and then complete the decoration and bog area another time next week.

Keep taking pix and update us with them as you go along. All very satisfying isn't it? image

  • Hello image well plans changed and ended up with a preformed pond as it was much cheaper then the liner etc so although I felt annoyed about it, I'm now looking at the positives and it has given us a bit more space to plant fox gloves, for get me nots, primroses etc and make it a really pretty area in the spring/summer-I hope.

I'm a bit embarressed to put the pics up and it looks like a small building site as it poured with rain that afternoon and hasn't really stopped that much since so it looks very untidy.
