Hi. Can anyone identify this plant, please? We had a couple appear two years ago and it is quite an attractive structural plant and the bees love the flowers. It grows a few feet tall with a lot of leaves near the base and then a tall stem with tiny reddish flowers. However, the garden is now over-run with them! They are EVERYWHERE! Any tips for dealing with it, please? Thanks.

  • It's a Figwort. I think it's Water Figwort, Scrophularia auriculata, by the winged stem. Just pull it out before it goes to seed.

  • Thank you! I shall get researching and weeding! Much appreciated.
