tomatoes and seed

in Fruit & veg
Does anyone know please :
The tomatoes that have had blight are these alright for seed for next year, ?
I would guess not , but wanted to check before they were disregarded.
Also I don't think it's a good thing to add to compost either , am I correct in this too ?

Blight is soil borne so it does not affect the seeds. You may use them as you will.
If the foliage has been blighted then it is best not put on the compost heap. the heat generated in the normal heap is not enough to kill the spores. You need the sort of temperatures generated in the big industrial heaps.
