    Still have verbena bonariensis, gaura, geranium, solanum alba and verbascum in flower. My jasmine has lots of red flower buds ready to open. The pyracanthas have their red, orange and yellow berries on, and I have one plant with berries that I need to get ID'd on the forum. Cornus kousa has bright red leaves.

    Whites from japanese anemones and Michaelmas daisies, purples and pinks ditto plus cyclamens, purple verbenas and pink and red roses and persicaria.  Orange geums, heleniums, rudbeckias,   White agapanthus and acidantheras with purple throats, lilac hostas, vivid fuchsia pink, white, scarlet and burnt orange dahlias.   Deep pink and creamy white clematis.   Pink penstemons.   Deep pink and red sedums.   Mauve pink physostegia.   Golden foliage on cornus midwinter fire, red stems on cornus alba.   Other foliage and stem colours.

    At the moment mine is predominantly brown due to the large area of digging going on...imageimage

    Actually, lots of gold and green as I planted specifically to have some brightness right through the seasons. Still have some cream sweet peas in flower and white Jap Anems and oak leaf Hydrangeas in the shady areas, along with creamy yellow primulas and the scented yellow flowers on the wild rocket. Green/gold variegated grasses Spartina and Hackenochloa along with other foliage plants the same colour. The purple Verbena bon. is  just starting to go over - mainly because of the stormy wet weather over the last week.  image

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
