Rambling rose on a fence

in Plants
I am intending on planting a rambling rose to grow along my fence which is 20m long. My question is , where is it best place to plant it? At one end so that it all grows in one direction or in the middle and train it in both directions? Does it make a difference? This may be a daft question, but I can't work out if there is a reason to do it one way rather than the other.
Thank you!

..in the middle, or at least where its wingspan, if you like, can be spread out equally either side.... it will look quite wrong otherwise.
I would agree with Salino, if you want one that grows really quick fast, I have Pauls Himalayan Musk. climber, and boy, does that grow fast! Train the stems along supports from as low as you can, then the same with the next two shoots, keep going like that and you will get flowers all over the fence and not just at the top.
Yes I guess if it goes in the middle it should cover the fence in half the time? Thank you all the advice, i will do as you say Lyn re training the stems. That was going to be my next question! I've been looking at Paul's Himalayan musk and Rambling Rector. Too many decisions!
