hornbeam hedge questions

    I planted a Hornbeam hedge last Novemeber did really well over the summer now the leaves are all trurning brown is this Normal does anyone know ?

    It would need watering occasionally to keep it moist for the first season, Have you done that?

    Hornbeam hedges do keep their brown leaves through the winter but it's a bit early for the change.

    Hornbeam is ideal for a narrow hedge - it's easily my favourite hedging material.

    It tolerates a lot of water Ronnie, so it's really good for damp sites where beech, which it closely resembles, would struggle. It sounds like it may be short of water more than anything. Unless you're really far north, the leaves should still be green, so it seems stress is the most likely reason for the turn.

    If you take photos - try and get long range ones as well as close up. Come back on here and you'll get help with putting them on if you still have problems  image 

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Ok will do when the foto shows up and i click on open it it says file doesnt exist never have any problem with facebook or eb ay ?
