Prunus has lost all its leaves
Hi I have two prunus in the front garden, planted at the same time about 7 years ago. I don't know the variety but they are small compact with purple leaves and pink flowers. This year one of the trees started dropping its leaves in midsummer, and by now is completely bare, whilst the other tree 10 feet away is still in full leaf. I thought it might be drought because of its position but the leaves were still red when they fell off, not desiccated.
Having looked at the underside of one of the leaves there are raised pale brown markings along the central vein but I don't know if this is one of the normal signs of the dying process. I can't see evidence of any kind of other disease. Tried to attach photo but it defeated me. Will keep trying. In the meantime does anyone have any ideas?

I think the problem may well be down to fungal infections - a lot of it about this year. Rake up the leaves and burn. Should be fine next year, a good sharp frost would help

Will try again with the photo, think its my laptop running slowly which is the problem
It does sometimes take a while for pictures to upload - or sometimes the photos need to be smaller.
